Yes. I give a free initial consultation and generally, I’ll even do a follow up especially for post-conviction issues because generally, there’s a lot of questions that need to be answered and on the initial call, a potential client doesn’t have all the information that I need. But if I do a real evaluation of the case, I’ll generally charge a review fees which would encompass reviewing all the records, meaning all the trial records, the trial transcript, the clerk’s record, the motions, depositions and everything that incurred. Then I’ll give an opinion on that and my thoughts about the likelihood of success on any issues that might present themselves so that where a lot of lawyers just want a flat fee just to do it no matter what, I break it down and make it a little more easy for some people by just charging the review fee first, getting an opinion about that and then, if they want to proceed, then charging for the fee to do the representation, the brief and the argument.
